Erin Butcher, Art
WEBSITE/SHOPINSTAGRAMOTHER SOCIAL MEDIA
Erin Butcher received her BFA at UNL-Lincoln, focusing on ink drawing, painting, and mixed media on wood panels. She keeps busy in a variety of media, ranging from digital illustration to canvas painting. Her work is inspired by lowbrow art, popular culture, and cartoonists. "I’m always striving to bridge the gap between what people consider “fine art” and “doodles”. I work on minimizing my marks while still conveying the subject matter, and focusing on simple shape and color. I love the harsh black outline of the traditional comic strip, and that motif can be found throughout my works."
