Jackie Young is a sixth-generation Lincolnite, born and raised in the Near South neighborhood. She's been a perpetual creator her entire life and is most drawn to repurposing everyday objects and mixed media work. During the pandemic, she used extra time and words of encouragement from her boyfriend to start The Young Maker, where she sells her crafts and goods.

Hand-made sansevieria laurentii miniature in a teracotta pot (plant nickname is "snake plant"). It has yellow edges to its long stiff blades and a dark green center with rippling waves of light green. Sticking out of the pot is a flag that says "sansevieria laurentii."
White triangular felt pennannt with two horizontal stripes at its top and bottom. In its center is a one-dimensional green felt pilia plant that has round leaves with white dots in their center and is in a teracotta pot. At the top of the pennant are two red felt ties.
Black short-sleeved crew-neck t-shirt with a bleach dyed outline of Nebraska. In its upper left corner lies text in white to the "There is No Place Like Nebraska" song: "THERE IS NO PLACE LIKE / NEBRASKA.
